I have purchased a new truck at suburban motors 3 year's ago. I was misrepresented on buying a truck that did not have 4x4 and did not realize it till I drove it away after signing. They took no responsibility. Instead they offered to buy the truck back as a trade in for the exact same truck but with "4x4". I am accusing suburban motors of deceiving me into a contract scam that is now costing me $501.00 a month for 83 months for one new 2011 Ford ranger 4x4. I did not even realize how badly I got ripped off till recently when I had another dealership look at my contract. Please tell me these numbers do not sound right. I have been told I could have bought a new f150 fx4 model for the same price, I am outraged.
I have filed a complaint with the BBB.
I am guilty of not having car buying experience as this incident was my first time buying a vehicle at a dealership, so does that justify companies like suburban motors to take full advantage of first time car buyers. If this issue does not scream consumer protection I am going to jump off a bridge! The only out come I am looking for out of all this is to have my contract reassessed so the price can be adjusted fairly. Still nothing has been resolved. Funny thing is I looked up suburban motors customer reviews on the Internet and found a couple similar case stories, this makes me think their sales tactics are no accident.
